WEDNESDAY: Oskar Stenmark Quartet

Oskar Stenmark is a Swedish born jazz trumpet and flugelhorn player in New York City, known for his versatility as a sideman, but also for his unique sound he represents in his own groups. Oskar grew up in Gothenburg, Sweden and spent his childhood in a musical environment. He is the 7th generation musician within his family, something that reflects in his own work. Oskar Stenmark Quartet explores the music inherited from his ancestors, blended with New York Jazz. Together with bass player Lars Ekman, piano player Alex Pryrodny and drummer Cami Mennitte Pereyra, the quartet makes its first appearance in Eau Claire. Oskar has performed with celebrated musicians, including Maria Schneider Orchestra, David Byrne and Chris Potter.
